A Funny Story...

Heather says...We caught a mouse this week... Like we do everyday! But this time it wasn't dead. It's little arm was caught and us having the hearts that we do, we decided to set it free into the hallway... Well as we did this, he decided to run back into our pad! I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth in my underwear when it came at me! So, I jumped up on the Sink! (my butt was soaked) Then, Gonzalez got the dust pan and swept him into it and put him in the hall again... When we went out the next morning... There he was DEAD on our door mat! Sister Johnson almost cried when she said, "He just was trying to come back home"... It was funny, but I still HATE them! Even though I thought it was a little sad too... Especially when it squeeled....

Transfers

Well, it's transfer week in NYNYS! And Heather has a new companion, Sister Crandell from Heber, Arizona. Heather says "She has the softest little voice and is so innocent... So, you know how well we balance each other out! :)"

No pictures, yet, but as soon as I get them I'll post them.

This is a picture of the district from last week, showing Elder Wiggins, who went home after successfully finishing his mission, and of course Sister Frodsham, who got transferred.

Hunter's Point at Sunrise

These pictures were taken at Hunter's Point, in Queens. I guess this post should actually be titled "Jumping for Joy?" Anyway, they seem to be having a good time. P-Day is a time to relax and enjoy and learn about the area, and it appears that they are certainly doing that!

That looks a lot like the UN Building across the river.

Visit to the Temple

Heather had the opportunity to go to the Manhattan Temple with her companion and some of the members. She reports that it was a special and very spiritual time.

The Manhattan Temple is in a multi-use building, and this makes it one of the unique Temples in the Church. The original building was constructed in 1976 and still houses a public affairs office on the second floor and a chapel on the third floor. The Temple itself occupies the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors.

Following the Temple visit, Heather and Sister Frodsham met two of their old Bay Shore friends, Luis and Daniela. Heather said "It was great to see them and feel their love for us."
